The death of Jisha created a lot of hue and cry among the public in Kerala. Obviously, this is an isolated incident. But these kind of incidents which are less or more in gravity are being common on these days. 
Of-course, we have to react. But it is better to remember - prevention is better than cure.

വൃദ്ധ ജനങ്ങള്‍ക്കുള്ള 
സംയോജിത സംരക്ഷണ പദ്ധതി
വൃദ്ധ ജനങ്ങളെ സംരക്ഷക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള അടിസ്ഥാന സൌകര്യങ്ങളുടെ അപര്യാപ്തത പരിഗണിച്ചു നടപ്പാക്കി വരുന്ന പദ്ധതിയാണിത്. ഈ പദ്ധതിയുടെ നടത്തിപ്പിനായി തദ്ദേശ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങള്‍ക്കും സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങള്‍ക്കും സന്നദ്ധ സംഘടനകള്‍ക്കും കേന്ദ്ര സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ ധന സഹായം നല്‍കുന്നു.
ഏറ്റവും കുറഞ്ഞത്‌ 25 വൃദ്ധ ജനങ്ങളെ താമസിപ്പിക്കുകയും അവര്‍ക്ക് നല്ല ഭക്ഷണം, വിനോദം, സംരക്ഷണം എന്നിവ സൌജന്യമായി നല്‍കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന വൃദ്ധ സദനങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് പ്രതിവര്‍ഷം 6,67,000/- രൂപ കേന്ദ്ര സഹായമായി നല്‍കുന്നു. അപേക്ഷകള്‍ അതതു ജില്ല സാമൂഹ്യനീതി ഒഫിസര്‍മാര്‍ക്കാന് സമര്‍പ്പിക്കേണ്ടത്‌.
