മരട് മുനിസിപാലിറ്റി അയിനി തോട് CRZ ല്‍ ഉള്‍പ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്. പക്ഷെ തോടിന്റെ വീതിയോ നൂറു മീറ്ററോ ഏതാണോ കുറവ്, അത്രയും സ്ഥലം മാത്രമാണ് നിയന്ത്രണത്തിന് വിധേയം. പത്തു -പതിനഞ്ചു മീറ്റര്‍ മാത്രം വീതിയുള്ള തോടിനു പരമാവധി പതിനഞ്ചു മീറ്റര്‍ മാത്രമേ നിയന്ത്രണ മേഖലയുള്ളു. നിയന്ത്രണ മേഖലയില്‍ മാത്രമാണ് നിര്‍മ്മാണത്തിന് തടസ്സം. അതിനപ്പുറത്തുള്ള എല്ലാ നിര്‍മ്മനങ്ങള്‍ക്കും നമ്പര്‍ ലഭിക്കേണ്ടതാണ്, കൊടുക്കേണ്ടതാണ്.

8. Norms for regulation of activities permissible under this notification,-
(i) The development or construction activities in different categories of CRZ shall be
regulated by the concerned CZMA in accordance with the following norms, namely:-

A. Area upto 200mts from HTL on the landward side in case of seafront and 100mts
along tidal influenced water bodies or width of the creek whichever is less is to be earmarked as “No Development Zone (NDZ)
